Lip Synch Tutorial

The lip synch tutorial gave me and my group a good understanding on how to create a amature low budget music video with plenty of potential. our tutorial started with a brief description of final cut pro as we used it for the creation of our thriller trailer last year. to see if we could still use the software we tryed to merge/edit someone elses footage into a music video, this experience was crucial in our understanding of the creation of a music video.

We were given 1:30 minutes to shoot a music video, the song was distributed randomly by the teacher, this was a great opportunity for us to use our skills from the previous year and knowledge from this year to make a superb music video with a wide variety of different shots and angles. in our trial we used whatever we could find in the environment around us, in this case we used a fan to create a very cool image of our actress, as we were based in the media room we had a green screen as a background and used the studio lights to create the effects we wanted.

Now that we had or footage we could begin editing it, for this we used final cut pro. in the editing we used all of our shots in appropriate points of the song, this made our video illustrative as when the lyrics stated you she would point at the audience. the editing was easy to get used to as you had to start all of the footage from a specific point in the song and then cut bits off.
